Field Notes · AI is on the roadmap

An AI Agent will not save you from a messy Org

You've got Validation Rules from five years ago that nobody remembers writing, that don't apply to how the business works anymore, that fire anyway. Agentforce doesn't know that. It just hits the wall and fails

You've got thirty Required Fields on the Case Object. A human rep with two decades of institutional knowledge can work around that. An AI agent can't. It stalls out on the first submission.

You've got hundreds of tangled Permission Sets stacked on top of Profiles nobody has audited since the org was built. Nobody, including you, can predict what an agent can actually see or touch. So it either fails silently or does something you didn't authorize.

Conversational AI is not a fix for a broken Org. It's a stress test for one.

Every dead Validation Rule, every bloated Permission Set, every unnecessary Required Field is friction a human could route around and an AI agent cannot. You're not deploying Agentforce into your business. You're deploying it into your data model, your automation, and your access control, exactly as they are today.

Clean your Org first because AI will not save you.
