Cleanup should be simple. That's the whole point of it

Whenever a cleanup initiative needs the company's best architects, months of planning, and multiple steering committees, it's not simple anymore, and it's not really cleanup. It's something else wearing a cleanup label.

Real cleanup should be understandable by the people who run the Org every day. Removing unused Fields, simplifying Page Layouts, consolidating Record Types, or retiring obsolete Automation should never require a room full of experts. The value of cleanup comes from reducing complexity, so the moment the cleanup itself turns complex, it stops creating that value.

The best cleanup are the simplest ones: small improvements, low risk, steady progress, day after day. That's how healthy Orgs become and stay healthy.
